Trauma Informed Teaching Strategies for Yoga + Mindfulness

This training is for YOGA TEACHERS / TEACHER TRAINEES and includes a 60 minute trauma- informed practice. The two core components of this training are MIND-BODY CONNECTION + RESILIENCE.

Mind-Body Connection: you will learn the physiology + neuroscience of trauma. We explore its' impact on neurology, physical + energy bodies, emotional + mental health and attachment + relationships.

Resilience: you will learn how to support post traumatic growth within the boundaries of a yoga class offering. Specifically, we look at verbal cues, language, the power of choice, potential triggers, hands-on adjustments, specific asana/ movement, and tools for grounding + self-regulation. The goal is to cultivate awareness, compassion + a set of best practices that we can offer through a trauma informed lens in hopes to hold safe space for any student.
